Dianne Harris
A yoga practitioner for most of her life, Dianne left the corporate world to share the joys and discoveries of yoga with others. Yoga (in all its aspects) has had a profound impact on her life. It has enriched her connection to self, to community and the world at large. Her mission is to assist others on their journey to a happy heart.
Dianne interweaves Buddhism, yogic philosophies and meridian theory into her offerings, to encourage you to ‘get more from your yoga’. She invites you to explore and discover the richness of yourself in the present moment. To develop clarity of mind and discover and live from the beauty or your heart, in all of its’ states.
Grateful to have the opportunity and privilege to learn, practice and share, Dianne continues to study with her teachers and calls herself a lifelong student and explorer. When not in the studio, Dianne likes to spend time with her husband and their 5 children.
Owner operator of happyheart Yoga, Dianne conducts Teacher Trainings, workshops and classes internationally. She is an Insight Yoga Institute Endorsed Teacher with Sarah and Ty Powers(1 of 23), is certified CYA-E-RYTGOLD (1000+ training hours, 1000+ teaching hours), and has also trained extensively with Paul and Suzee Grilley and Ahimsa Yoga. Like most people sports in my younger years involved team sports activities. Namely football, hockey, basketball and rugby. After my body did not recover quickly enough after one game to participate in the next one my interest switched to Body Building where I set goals for myself in weight lifting and achieved them. However my body’s range of motion due to weight lifting was limited and it was impossible for me to touch my toes.
Eventually a torn tricep muscle limited my weight lifting pastime. To repair the muscle and improve my golf game I started a Yoga and a Pilates program.
After my first Yoga class I was hooked. Not because I was good at it but because I felt such a connection to my body, mind and spirit.
My Yoga practice is now the dominate program in my life…. and my golf swing is more fluid as well.
